Alot of kids when I was in high school used to do that... called it "fiberglassing".
isn't all that great???if it chipped after a test fit, not sure the structural integrity is all that great.
Don't use spray paint. Dude....you could spend 2 weeks trying to get it to look half decent. Also every time you sand the paint you are just taking the material off. That is just a waste of money. The primer should have been sanded with 400 to make it smooth and then paint applied on top of that and then clear. Automotive paint is the way to go. It is thicker and stronger than spray paint. As for the cost, yeah it isn't all that cheap, but look at what you will end up spending on "crap" to get it to look half decent. You can probably go to carquest and get a quart of single stage black paint and do it that way. It is harder to spray and make look right than base coat/clear coat but if you are going to be doing alot of sanding and buffing anyway, get it. You will probably end up spending $40 for it. You don't have to clear over the top. Hell for that matter go to O'reilly or Autozone and get the duplicolor automotive paint. It is really cheap. If you lived around here I would paint it for you.I want a super glossy look any sugestions?
