Creating a **** effect and overall better look for L7 box.

Just trying my hand at creating smooth curves (**** effect) on my 12 inch l7 box

Work log for box

Materials

Sander:

Sand paper. Lots of sand paper 100 grit for shaping and rough spots.150 -220 for smoothing and 400 for paint and finish.

Aluminum angle beams ½ * 1

Needle nose pliers

2 cans of bondo

sharpie Marker

metal shears

Had L7s in the box for a while. So before I took them out I traced around them with a sharpie to outline the borders.

 



 



 

The corner angles that I got were $3 for 3 feet. I used the shears to snip the shorter side every quarter inch or less.

**** means protruding sack of human normally seen on females. different shapes and sizes.

referring to speakers, its the dust cap, and referring to boxes its like what pimp did on his 15 4hp when his box wasnt tall enough.

when you snip the angles just right the pieces of the corner angle will turn just like so.





 

use the needle nose pliers to twist off the curved “sniped ” pieces of metal

 



 

The thing about aluminum is that is easy to bend. You can either wrap it around the corners of the L7’s or you can use your fingers to bend it to match the border outline on the box.

I used clamps to hold the beams in place. You could use glue if you want, just don’t use a lot.
