Making a ported enclosure for an IDMAX 12 and when I cut out the wood, I didnt think to make the front double baffled so im going to use a ring on the inside where the subwoofer actually holds to. How big of a ring do I need so it can hold to the front baffle? comprende?

On these pics it looks like they used a ring on the inside, which is what im trying to do.

I would make it as wide as you can. It will be holding the weight of the sub so it needs to be pretty solid.

Why not just cut another piece of MDF and make it double baffled? If the subs are gonna be sunk in anyway, will that extra 3/4" actually be to much?
