Connecting 0 gauge to amp that only has 4 gauge inputs.

How would i go about connections 0 gauge to an amp that only has 4 gauge inputs? I shaved off a bunch of the wire to make it small enough. But i dont feel comfortable with it like this. Is there a connector i can use or something???

It would be a waste of money, not to mention dangerous if he doesn't fuse it correctly. Those reducers are like $6 (probably cheaper elsewhere that's just the first link I found)

but i need to make SURE its 4 gauge that my amp accepts...

If it's not 1/0, then it's 4 gauge. No way they'd go smaller with an 1800w amp.

because id much rather have a secure connection. rather than having loose wires and such around.

thats just me tho. i dont mind spending 15 bucks to make me feel better.
