connectin a crossover to a headunit?

i have no idea if im don this right but on my headunit (kenwood kdcx592)

i connected the 2 yellow wires and the blue from my amp, thats how ive always don it

i added a crossover/ equalizer and i want to put it under my cd player cuz it fits perfectly

the xo has a black cable so i connected it with the black from the headunit. and i connected the yellow and blue to the yellow and blues to my hu

the problems is when i have all the yellows and blue connected it blows my fuse

so what am idoing wrong!!!!

Instead of assuming the colors match from different units, have you tried looking up wiring diagrams for both units? I'm sure they can be found in the manual of both, if not online.

the fuse in the fuse box? too much amperage on the fuse

so i got the fuse to stop blowing

but and evertything turns on.

but when i mess with the EQ i hear no diff
