Confused about Type R?

Rsdcs for sure.. They will perform great sealed.. Much better than anything you have mentioned in this post..
Are you sure and have you heard both? I'm still torn, but leaning towards the PG because it looks better on paper. The P3 got a pretty good magazine review. I'm just not finding that much info on the RSDc, but I know they don't ****.

there is a member on here that has 2, ported tuned real low. on about 1200w i believe. He's pushing them hard, but they've held up. cant remember his screen name though. i think he's the one that has a pic of a shelby cobra in his avatar.
post....

and I have the rsd not the rsdc. They do however sound outstanding:D vids are in sig

Look at SI mag for sealed performance out of 1 cubic foot, price is more than type R - btu they supposedly sound pretty crappy sealed.

If all you care about is "efficiency" go with 1 15" ported in big *** box with plenty of port area - thats efficient - small sealed boxes are not in comparison, all that efficient.

Type R is not an SQ sub.

Type R is not a good sub sealed.

Ported is better for efficiency.

Sealed or IB is usually(not always) more common for SQ.

Look to the IDs or RSDs for SQ and efficiency.

This is a girl's setup and you know how they can be. You can't tell them nothing. I've already showed her the RSD and the ID and she doesn't like them. It's still between the P3 and RSDc sealed. Thanks for the help, but I guess I'll figure it out. What about the Diamond D3's? I still think the PG and P3 is more bang for the buck versus the Diamond?

the diamond's are good subs. a couple of people have been selling some in the classifieds here at some good prices

This is about saving trunk space in another car. I'm running about 9.5cu/ft in my Suv. I know ported is louder. So I guess I won't be getting the R's. Xprime how mant watts did you run on the 1.3 sealed? I'm pretty sure the P3 or the RSDc is a lot less power hungry than the R. Any comments on the P3 vs. RSDc sealed? I asked this question because there are some reviews out there saying their R is loud on 400-500 rms, and that you don't need 750-1000 rms. I just need something that's a little above a CVR. I can't really find that many reviews on the Phoenix Gold RSDc?
I was giving an bxi1606d on two Rs at 1ohm I guess around 650-700 watts each. They just didn't sound louder even some power. At first those subs weren't impressive at all, but then i built a 4.6ft 32hz enclosure and that was a HUGE difference...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

the rsdc is a great sealed driver.....but you might need a little more than 500wrms/driver
