Computer Sub help

So i have an extra CVR laying around the room and decided i wanna try hooking it up to my computer.

Will this ^^ amp work? and what else would i need?

sorry for the newb question but i'm pretty clueless to home audio.

OK..... I think that you need to tell us more about your computer and you current setup for us to advise you....

Well its a fairly new computer, got it a month ago, its a Compaq Presario. and my current setup is pretty nil its pretty much just 2 altec lansing speakers and an altec lansing subwoofer. pretty basic...i want more subwoofer though.

What type of outputs do you have on your comptuer?

If you have a 1/8" you are going to need a stereo "Y" connector and a 1/8" stereo to RCA.

Plug the 1/8 stereo "Y" into the computer output, plug the normal speakers into one side of the "Y" then plug the RCA to stereo 1/8 into the other side of the "Y". Now take the RCA L&R and plug them into the L&R of the plate amp or Crossover that you are using.
