Computer problem?

you did a defrag lately? if not try that. or you can download tuneup utilities i think you get a free trial before you buy. depending on how bad it is i would do a reformat. usually about once a year.

WOW he IS helpful. Thanks
LOL
im was being serious man. if you have an external HD that would be great. hook it up to comp. back up all o fyour files. then reformat your HD with either your recovery disk.. or windows disk whichever came with your computer. your computer "freezing" is too vague to be anymore specific on what you need to do

I reinstall windows every 4-6 months just because windows likes to keep a bunch of unneeded SHIT in the windows folder.

Its best to always keep a backup just encase there is a HD failure.

I think that op might have a Hd that is about to die. I had an old raptor that would freeze every now and then. The desktop would go blank and I couldn't get explorer to start up. It died a week later.

Alternativly it could be a error in windows explorer, which would still need a re-install.
