Computer building, I am

Messing with my fan settings. I have my intake fans all running at 65% speed until it hits 65C, which it rarely does. Highest I usually hit is 60 or so, I have the AIO ramp up at 45C, then it REALLY ramps up at 65C. Changing the intake fans from 65% speed to 50% speed made my CPU run about 3-5C hotter. Idk I have everything set up well as far as cooling.

I have some "industrial" 140mm nocturna fans coming in for a push pull....for science reasons. Yep, it's for science. 10 140mm fans in my case is definitely for science, no other reason. I want to see it if a push/pull setup will actually lower CPU temps or not, and/or if I can lower my front fans' speed where the radiator is to make it quieter. I specifically got the nocturna's because they will run more cubic feet per minute than the fractals that came with the radiator cooler. So the idea is to create more air density going into the radiator, so the radiator will have a larger mass of air running through it to exchange the heat with. Each one of those nocturna fans will run 155-160 cubic feet per minute per fan at full speed (3000 rpm lol). And the fractals will run about 105 cubic feet per minute per fan max. So the fractals will never be able to pull more air than the nocturnas pump.

I have to hook the nocturnas up to the high amp fan port on my motherboard because the max draw on each is .55 amps, and the regular fan ports only support up to 1 amp. The high amp supports 3 amps of 12v current IIRC.

I'm excited to see if it makes a difference or not.

Oh man my keyboard is wild. I'm typing on it right now. This keyboard is wild, it does all sorts of crazy color stuff. Got it on sale, it is mechanical and loud as f*ck, but that's ok.

This is what I think I'll have it set on:

Looks good. I went with the Steel Series Apex 3 keyboard. I didn't want a loud mech keyboard and wanted membrane incase I spill coffee on it lol. Plus it has a volume scroll wheel which was a must for me. Pretty happy with it but I wish I would have gotten a smaller one without the right hand number pad since I never use it.

For mouse I went with Logitech G502. I just liked the looks honestly and it was on sale. It has more buttons than I would ever need but the scroll wheel is pretty nice IMO.

I have all my lights to red as well. (y) Just waiting on 3 more cooler master fans for my case to show up.

I've got 2 nocturna 3000 rpm fans I'm waiting on to do a push pull on my front radiator. I really like this keyboard. It is super loud though, but it's not too bad considering how loud I play music. Typing on it makes me want to type more.

I also just got an actual desk chair, a mesh one. My back has been killing me but this chair now is super comfortable. My back is so bad where I've already had surgery and it wears me out when it's hurting. So now I can sit for waaayyyy longer and design without problems, hopefully. Has a lot of mid and lower back support.

I like my g603 because it's normal looking, has enough buttons for me. Long battery life, long life mode vs performance mode on the mouse, holds 2 AA batteries. I really like how easy the buttons are to push on the g603. That really helps me drawing boxes up so my forearms don't get fatigued.

I gotta get a new chair next. I love mine but it's super old and all the "leather" flaked off. I re upholstered it and re foamed it but its ugly as hell.

Just be careful though, mine was made in vietnam and I had to take it back because the bolt holes weren't in the correct space, so I took it back and just got the floor model. They are kind of cheap in a way, but they're really comfortable and super adjustable.

Like I have 75% of my L5/S1 disk removed and it's re-buldged now, so I have to have lower back support. If that disk ruptures again, I'll have to get them fused (I'm 28 now, had 1st diskectomy when I was 19). So my last surgery put my body in a very bad health condition, I was in really bad shape before the surgery, going in and out of shock basically. Couldn't feel my legs, maybe about 25% of my right leg. Could barely walk. Any kind of life I would be able to have might be over if I rupture that disk again. So I take my chairs seriously.

That is the same disk I had partially removed in 2019 and along with part of the spine right there as well.

I use a Lenovo Gaming Keyboard that isn't loud but it is noticeable. Also has red lights but I like them shut off also has the G keys on the sides that I like for doing custom gaming stuff when playing WoW. I use nothing but Razer mice for the past 20 years. I abuse and abuse them so I only get 3 years out of whatever mice I buy so I buy those since I game so much. This new one parental units got for me for christmas this year. Been using the Razer Deathadder series since they came out and this is the Deathadder V2 with 20k DPI and what not. This thing flies around so fast I had to turn it down. It also does multiple colors so I just leave it on scroll mode for the colors because otherwise I have to install Razer Software and that is just one more thing running and it does everything it needs to do without it except adjust colors so bleh heck with that install.

Yep, screw extra installs, like Asus's Armory crate. Keep it simple, stupid. That's how the Buck do. The Buck speak the true true
