component set

can anyone recomend a component set? i kinda like orion but what do u guys think? also does anyone hvae any ideas for kickpanels? all i found was some q logic things. i have a 90 accord by the way.

Man you have a great car for staging if you set up your kicks correct. There is a lot of pics available on this site. As far as the speakers go. Go with a speaker that has a large cone area on the tweeter as well as the mid bass. This will allow your speakers to be more off axis. My suggestion is of course Dynaudio being first, Focal, then Quart. If your looking for something less expensive a lot of the engineers from Quart went to JL Audio when JL started coming out with component. There is a lot of simularities. Dynaudio makes a 7" 3" and 1" component set (System 340) the 3" I do not think anyone can beat. It sounds increadible!!! Go to Dynaudio.com and check it out. Which Orion component set are you looking at?

I own the HCCA 6.2 set and thoroughly am enjoying them. So long as they are set up properly and amplified well they will sound very good. Same for the XTR series.

The qlogics are a very nice prefab kickpanel and worth the money if you are not very experienced in fiberglassing etc.....

hey Dynboy he is not looking to spend a million dollars, he mentioned nothing about a competition system....Dynaudio....man lets not get ahead of ourselves....a friend has orion comps, they sound great, but make sure you amplify them...

they are VERY nice and loud as shit properly set up and amped! Go with em man I guarantee you will not regret it

thanks alot alaxan!!! but is there any other brand out there for kick panels beside Q logic?im not ready to build my own yet (although i will someday).

Only one I am familiar with are the Q-logic.....I know they are very nice and well done, but for the most part I build my own so am not too familiar with others.
