Featured Component Crossover Position

Hi there,

I'm in the process of replacing my 2010 Polo's factory speakers and head-unit. (With a pair of Focal ASE165 Components and a Pioneer DEH-S420BT head-unit).

I've run into the problem of where to place the speaker crossovers, as the tweeter and woofer wires are in completely different places, so connecting them both to a crossover seems like it would be a struggle. Would the easiest route to just have 4 separate crossovers, 1 for each tweeter and 1 for each woofer?

I'm a complete beginner with all this so I'd really appreciate any suggestions on the best way to proceed.

Thanks!

Regardless of where you mount them, you will still have to run at least one set of wires through the door's accordion. Another option would be to splice into the tweeter's wires behind the kick panels.
Would I avoid running wires through the accordion if I were to have separate crossovers for the tweeter and the woofer?

I'm trying to keep the install as simple as possible without tearing the car completely apart!

I'd put them where the speakers and tweeters wires split in the kick panels (probably).
That makes sense. Accessing where they split sounds like it'll be the hard part - is this the area you both mean by kick panel?
