comparable sub to the Alpine Type R

CVX 4TW but its better than the hype r
i played with both subs for a great while. i personally liked the "hype R better" and it just so happened to meter better too. but the cvx did handle to power better, that is if you got any power to play with.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just my observations

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
