I wanna pair of the most raw dog subs you can buy, a system you can barley sit in the car with, im willing to spend between the 1000-2000 range on subs and amp(s) what would yall recommend for comp use i wanna hit atleast 140dB range

yea, factor that into your budget as well. i would do a single treo 15" or 18" ssx ported. you will be well into the 140 range if done properly. maybe like a hifonics bx1800 on the thing.

well i was able to hit 142db's with 2 jlaudio 1ow3v1's and 2 mtx rt2400x(old school amps)

thats at least 1200watts...i miss those lil boogers

I drive an 86 regal with the back seat ripped out ready for subs I was thinking XXX's but i doubt i have the room, btw how much recommend air space is required per sub? I already have a 280 amp h/o alt with 3 yellow caps its all wired and ready to go, just need subs and amp
