OK so i am using these speakers.

http://www.zapco.com/prod/Speakers/Comp/2_CK-16.2_Comp_Frame.htm

I am not using the crossovers that it came with. I am using the dsp software. I am running a zapco dc reference 360.4 but that has nothing to do with my question i am just needing to know what i should set my 10 bands to since i am running active i have 1 speakers per channel so 1 left mid 1 left tweet and same for the right side. so what bands should i choose right now?

the bands my dealer has set for me is this.

Mids: Hz 100 , 200 , 500 , 700 , 1000 , 2000 , 3000 , 4500 , 5000 , 6000

Tweeters: Hz 1000, 1300 , 3000 , 4000 , 5000 , 6000 , 8000 , 10000 , 15000 , 20000

Whats the best 10 bands to work with on these for good tuning i can tune it myself just wanting the best frequency.

I feel like these are not the best hz for the speakers maybe the tweeters are ok but i would like some advice on what hz i should use since i only have 10 bands per channel.

This isn't an "answer over the internet" type question.

You need to get your car on an RTA to determine what frequencies need to be adjusted for your specific install in your specific vehicle.

I understand i will try and go to a shop to get them to help me or i will end up buying one myself. Is a rta hard to learn to use?

RTA ?

No.

But rather than spend the $$ on an RTA, if you plan on staying in this hobby and/or getting the most out of your system (which given all of the Zapco, couldn't have been "cheap"), I think a better investment for you would be a PC based MLS system;

Steeper learning curve....but much more functionality.

Isn't that essentially what Alpine's new IMPRINT technology does? I understand it does TA which has been around for quite awhile but it seems to do quite a bit more than that. Unless there's something else the RTA/MLS allows you to do that would be worth the extra money...

Are you asking for crossover points to set? I'd go with 2khz on the mid and 3khz on the tweeter. Can you adjust the slope of the crossover?

Two completely different things.

Time alignment/crossover/equalization are forms of adjustments made to the audio system itself.

An RTA is a machine that allows you to analyze the frequency response of your system.

An MLS system also allows you to analyze your system.....but gives you much more information than an RTA such as time arrival and phase information.

RTA/MLS are tools for analysis, TA/etc are forms of adjustments.
