Okay, the sub says the RMS is 600w @ 4 ohm

the amp is sayin' the RMS is 600w @ 2 ohm

can someone explain to me whether or not this will work. this is for a friend.

also, if you don't mind, i'm very interested in learning how the amb is compatible with the sub in general. what do i need to look for? what needs to coincide with what? thanks a lot

Match the wattage with the ohms so the rms's are about the same 600 at 2 ohm is not even close wired at 4 ohm. DVC or SVC?

ok so even if it's not dead on 600 both, say the amp is more than 600, will it affect it at all?

if the amp is putting out more power then the sub can take turn down the gain. That amp will be about 300 watts at 4 ohm so you can turn the thing up all you want. THe sub should be just fin it just wont hit as hard as i would prefer but hey its for a friend lol

it says 600w at 4 ohm, not 300...

The amp will be putting out roughly (not exact) 300 RMS at 4 ohms. It will work fine but wont push the sub to its limits.

The amp does 400w @ 2 ohms, and 600w @ 4 ohms bridged (Thats two amps together)

I would look at different equipment.

yes it will work. the sub is a dual4ohm. wire it in parallel and it the voicecoils will be at 2ohm and match your amps impendance
