cheapest sufficient electrical for kicker kx2500

The alt I have now I believe is 120 amps that I got from O'reillys with a lifetime warranty. Its just not strong enough for my kicker kx2500. All I've got now is a regular everstart battery under the hood with the big 3 done in 0 guage. Then 0 guage all the way back to the amp. That is all the electrical I have. I know this is not enough for the kx2500 because it goes into protect due to low voltage if I turn the gain up any more than halfway and when I do sweeps.

I dont wanna spend a ton on my electrical right now, I just want to get it good enough where the amp wont shut off.

I was thinking maybe a kinetik 2400?

Any help is appreciated.

get rid of the neverstart and check with powermaster as to which one will fit under your hood and then put a 2nd batt in the back. but in all reality you need to get a HO alt and better batteries

would a everstart maxx under the hood be good?

What would be better.....

Regular everstart battery under the hood with the 120 (i think) alt with a kinetik 2400 in the back

OR

Regular everstart battery under the hood with a 160 amp alt.

Just wondering because I found a 160 amp on ebay for $216 shipped with 2 year warranty. It is a "Load Boss High Output Alternator"

70 amps at 800 RPM....160 amp at 1600 RPM.

So pretty much 160-170 amp alt VS kinetik 2400

This is mostly for a streetbeater. Will enter the local comps though.

What kind of vehicle do you have? I may be able to get a 200amp alt for around the price of that 170amp alt.

Edit : Reading > Me. Sorry, I can't get an alt for a Honda motor.

yeah I have a 1994 honda accord EX. VTEC engine.

Just **** it up and spend the cash on a HO alt. I'd get at least a 200amp alt. for the kicker. If its already going into protect from voltage drop, you need a bigger alt. to keep the voltage up.
