Car Audio Noob

i got one 12" type r and its loud...my dad said some of the pens/pencils in a jar inside my house were rattling around while i was playing music outside in my driveway. the windows of my house rattle as well...not to mention the roof of my suv flexing and what not.
i got my 12" typr r from ikesound for $125 shipped. however, i have heard mixed reviews about this site with people saying they ordered something that said in stock, but it truly wasnt in stock, and took awhile for them to finally get it. but then there are others, like me, who get thier stuff in a few days.
quit making up shit. im tired of it

and OP: To help us out, we also need to know how much you are willing to spend on an amp.

also the only reason to not get a 15 over a 12 is that u dont have enough space

stfu. everything i said is true so u can **** it *****...i know for a fact that my sub makes the windows rattle cause ive had it playing, gone inside and heard it. my dad said the pens were rattling...not me....i dont see why he would be lying. and my roof does flex..not alot but if i put something on my roof it bounces around.

so if you dont know what you're talking about, gtfo

Well, since I will be spending around 100 on the sub, I guess I could go as high as 300, but I'm not sure if I'd need something at that price range.

Well its always better to get a decent amp and an ok sub than a decent sub and ok amp.. invest in an amp that is going to last you a while and even into your next vehicle.. and if your really serious about car audio maybe get an amp that does something like minimum 500 watts RMS (for type R) at like 4 ohms and does alot more at 2 and 1 ohm.. for your next set ups..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Any specific suggestions?... I feel I would do better if someone gave me a starting point that I could use as a base to compare other amps to, yaknow?

cant go wrong with alpine equipment, tho they are a bit pricey for even the lower wattage amps, another good brand thats pretty cheap but really good is hifonics

i was close to the house, buts its still loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i bet its nothing compared to alot of systems on here though

Yes, I would like to hear the music, but I also really want a nice loud bass as well.
I'm ready to spend around a grand on everything, including installation.

I figured I would buy the sub first, or pick one out at least so that I could buy an amp to match it. Then I would get some speakers, and then the head unit. I don't know how long I will keep this car for, but I know I will have it for at least 2 more years. I told myself that I wouldn't spend a lot of money on the actual car it self, so I'm not sure if getting a lot of speakers would be a good idea, because the size of the speakers in my car are rather small I think. But I'm fine with spending a normal amount on an amp, sub, and head unit because I can easily swap those into another car.

What I am considering now is getting this: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14955

It's an alpine type-r 12" rather than a 15". My car savvy friend said that 12" should be fine.

Also, this might help:

Save yourself some money and do the install yourself. Its really not that hard and you will appreciate your equipment more than if you paid someone to do a half-assed job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
