Can you make a DD sub with Sundown parts?

Ive been looking for a new sub or subs for about 2 months now. Got a Sundown Sa 12 d4 v.2 in a ported 1.9cft box. Pushing with a Alpine MRX M1100. 650w @4ohms. Sounds great. But ive got a new car an i wanna get a bad *** sub togather. Can i buy or make a sub with DD and Sundown?. Those my fav sub brands

Just spend the 50 bucks and get a drop in sa recone..im sure u could get a dd recone but it would take forever and likely cost 150+

You would have to buy a dd sub to breed with your sundown. @adulbrich can tell you more about sub breeding. He breed a dd and Fi sub and they had twins.

It depends on the gap. Dd subs tend to have a very tight gap so the coils are thinner. You can call them and ask for a refine kit for your sub worst they'll say is can't do it your da sub has a 2.5" coil so that would most likely be a 1500 or 2500 series coil and parts Better to just get a better sub or motor to start with

A dude in san diego had his hdc3 18s rebuilt with sundown nightshade spiders, zv3 coils. Got a lot louder off his orion 8k and handled the power better (mechanically). DD and soundqubed are father son companies so i'd say its doable if the gap matches.

I have 12" DD composite cones with dust caps that I'd sell for $250 shipped. They're usually $250 each, but I have no use for them anymore

Grab a 9500 motor & get a guy like Corey Dean or Dave Leib to make you a drop in -- generally the Z v.2 copper coil is a good choice on the 9500 motors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif From there up you could use pretty well any soft parts setup.

He was wanting to put DD parts on hie SA 12, from what I understood.

DD won't sell drop in's or just parts if they're going in your subs.

Yea im up for anything. I would love to find someone out there that could make me a sub from DD an Sundown... I love the way the sundowns cone looks, so i might be up for any combo of the 2. just with a sundown dustcap would suit it well. Looking for around 1500 RMS. 12 inch.

rare DD Sq 10 9910 I believe it is...it has a odd motor...i have 3 9512gs...i plan on putting in something...
