Can someone recomend me some good 0 gauge wire, UK based

I had this same problem a few weeks back.

What are you going to be using this wire for?

How long and how many amps?

This will allow you to decide if you need the top dollar stuff or if cheaper, less massive stuff will suffice.

Depending what kind of 1/0 you get it's very easy to work with.
Not if you have to run the wire through a small kick panel, try to hide it under carpet, or make sure all the interior trim snaps back in place and look like there's nothing stuffed underneath it. I hate 1/0 gauge and refused to install it when I was an installer. More problems & hassles than it's worth IMO.

Honestly if you need to be using 1/0 (which you should in excess of like 1500-1800w anyways) you should be willing to give up some form of stealth install. Hell for my next install I'm gonna be doing a run of 2/0 to the back lol

this is somewat out of the OP question but how much does 50' of knu 0gauge wire weight? when i went to their site it said it weighted about 10lbs. but im pretty sure it weights way more than that

I'm going to be running 200A, a 40A 2 channel amp and a 160A sub amp but i may plan on upgrading my 2 channel to a 4 channel later on. I'm going to use 1 run of 0/1 gauge to a distribution block, then some old 4 gauge to my 2 channel and some 0/1 gauge from the distribution block to my sub amp (using cable reducers). I would also like some spare aswell incase i need to do the big 3 after the install.

I'm not really sure my 4 gauge is true 4 gauge because it can fit in my current sub amp which only takes 8 gauge apparently. It will be big enough to carry 40A but i seriously doubt it will take 160A so instead of buying some good 4 gauge i will just use some more 0/1 gauge for that run.

You need to find someone who can ship to you in a USPS FLAT RATE box. They do up to 20 pounds for about 46$ to the UK. You should be able to coil a good bit of wire into one of those boxes.

YEAH 200 amps is no joke, you need TRUE 0 gauge, not the cheap or crappy stuff, you'll probabally be cutting it close with CCA (copper clad aluminum) ESPECIALLY if you plan to upgrade soon.

DO your self a favor and get a decent 1/0 or even a 2/0 gauge wire.

Its gonna cost you for OFC (oxygen free copper) which is what you need.

Hope this helps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
