meter each speaker... make sure each is reading 4... or somewhere around there... if it reads really crazy it might be a shorted or a bad speaker...
1. Lights on but no sound from the speakers 2. Sounds like ejecting disk but no lights or sound.

that's what you said in your first post... what do you mean lights on but no sound? cuz then you say no lights... does it just light up for a second and then go off? or does it actually come on and act like it's playing music but no sound? check the fuses under the hood... look for radio.. back up.... room... interior light... and cigarette lighter... look for those fuses in the fuse panels under the hood and in the car...

i tried a few different stereos and with two of them there was lights on and the radio staion was displayed but there was no sound, i never did put a disk in.

the others when hooked up had no lights or sound did not display a station and sounded like they were either loading or ejecting a cd

we pulled checked every fuse in there and originaly there was on under the hood that i believe he said went from the battery to radio, but i was not there and he said he couldnt remember where but replaced it! he also said that he took the speakers out and checked them on another system but he doesnt even know how to unhook a battery. everytime i go to do something he said he had done, he gets offended.......... if he wont let me i will have to just give up because it's frustrating me.

What i would do in this annoying case, is take it out, try to run it externally... just disconnect the batt and hook the sereo on there direct (w/fuse tho) and get a completely diffrent speaker, one should work find, hook it up, power it on and see what happends.... if it dont work with it hooked to nothing but the Power, and Speakers, somthing is really really Screwed up, but i would assume it should work...

For those of you that tried to assist me with my friends stereo, thank you much i appreciate it. I have given up, got tired of him freakin out like a girl whod been cheated on everytime i would try to check something he said he already checkd. Oh well his problem now. And just to let you know, I am a Female not a Male so maybe you shouldnt be so sure of yourself in the future it doesnt seem to agree with you.

Wow just like a female to try and take a shot at you, for not being all knowing and omnipotent...

What ever. I tried to suggest how to fix it. Being to arrogant and stubborn to listen is not my problem.
