you have four 10's in a box with like less than 30sq in of port or so right? i'll take dimensions of your box and your port information for $1,000 Alex!

27" long x 25" deep x 14.75" tall

one single 6" port. the pipe between the two flares is 4" long. i know i needed more port but i actually dont get any noise at all so i thought it would be okay?

i was told the flares are 2.5" each so 9" total flare to flare

Seal it up and give those subs some power, or rebuild that box with a slot, more port area, and tuned properly. Its only a 40 dollar mistake, pretty simple fix

Holy shit those flares are pretty huge eh, I plugged em in as standard 1" radius ones. still tuned **** high

well actually this is my third box. first one sounded awesome. it was a slot port tunned to 33hertz BUT i didnt like the design anymore. so i wanted a new box.

reason ive stayed with just one nine.1 is because i dont want the extra weight off a big battery. i have a 134ah C&D battery but my6 car almost crapped from the weight lol.

is there anyway to save the box? like just extend the pipe between the flares???

also why when i cut off the 2"'s did it sound 100 times better?

I never actually tested mine facing forward in my civic, but it was noticable too the ear too me.

Yeh....thats a bad phrase too go by "Tune high for SPL", you need too tune too ur cars res. freq.

Put a sealed box in there( one 12 or what not), and no other subs...play tones from 30-60 and see where ur car peaks at.....itll get you reallyyy close.

Than tune around that...not exactly too it, a lil lower.

My truck peaks at 43-45hz......i tune about 35hz....if i try too tune like 50hz, itll lose a good bit.

You could try too cut a new port face and go 3 4".

But the single 6in worked for my 4 10s, but i also had an assload of power too push through it haha.....id try too extend the port all the way too 6in from the rear wall.

Its not a bad box.....it shouldnt be the ultimate reason you only do a 138.

honstly all I want is a 142--143 off music.

I guess ill re do the port and make it like 17" total...?

where can I buy more pipe from? 6" pvc is too thick and no1 carry the sonotubes in 6" here...

I will say this....Term Lab's have a way of humbling a person! My first ever TL was like a 139.XX.....facepalmed myself! Seen people almost tear up @TL scores!lol
