I have qty 2 DVC 2-ohm subs Alpine Type-R.
My amp is an Alpine MRD-M1005 whihc is a 1 channel mono amp with the following specs:
RMS Power (at 12V,20Hz-200Hz)
* Per channel into 2 ohms : 700W x 1
* Per channel into 4 ohms : 500W x 1
RMS Power (at 14.4V,20Hz-200Hz)
* Per channel into 2 ohms : 1000W x 1 (1% THD)
I will use this wiring diagram:

The thing that bothers me is that in the amp specs it says Per Channel into 2-ohms :700x1. Why does it say per channel if it is a 1 channel amp? Since I'm ending up at a 2ohm load will each sub get 700w, or 350w?
Also, with this amp and the Alpine T420 which is about 150x2 do I need to run 1/0 or will 4 gauge be ok for the power from battery?
Thanks,
-Eric
