Can irregular-shaped enclosures be ported accurately?

is this a mother fucking joke? seriously hahahahaha i love the design james... u bastid!

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif seriously though op packing peanuts or craving bass's awkward unorthodox method haha

just use the correct line formula that contors on a line plot the same exact way as the fiberglass box and then take the integral from each side from corner to corner and add them togetther. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif (or fill that bish with salsa and convert)

sure they can if you know what your doing.

angles do not change the overall math angles jsut change the way you might ahve to process the way you calcualte the design thats it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I can't believe nobody has mentioned to this poor fellow that bass waves don't work with irregular enclosures, so whether you port it or not its going to sound like shit unless its square

Not true my foreign friend. Square ports work well with L7's (or any other square shaped subwoofer) regardless of the shape of the box because the square frequencies produced. Same reason circle ports/pvc is recommended for circular subwoofers.

Exactly, although Rashyadd did bring up a good point... You might need an irregularly shaped woofer, like an xplod or the bazooka triangle one.

In theory, yes. If the box is something like a trapezoid, or even a rhombus, then I would look into the triangular subs.

No wai!!!!!!!!!! Type R will pwn this theory while killing minorities and raping young children in back alleys.........
Type Arghh is only good in some enclosure types... Not all types. If they offered it in different shapes it would appeal to a lot more customers.

Companies like Sony, MTX, Bazooka, quadrasub, etc understood the need and started producing subs of different shapes to meet customers needs.
