C6 vette install, lots of pics.

Great install!!!!!!I wish I had the funds to have a Vette. And to have a install like that.
Thanks for all the complements. I am lucky my wife is a CPA and Vice president of a Bank, so she makes decent money. I produce Adult videos:rolleyes:...... Training tapes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif does not come close to paying as good. She works hard at making money and I work hard at spending it. I could not afford it if I did not do it myself, plus I get the satisfaction of doing it. I got some of the equipment over 2 Christmas so it was not an overnight deal.

Smooth - very nice install with the exception of that gap between the center console and your waterfall... That I noticed rather quick. But im impressed.

As far as all the JL audio and people bashing, I somewhat agree. JL is by NO MEANS the end all be all. I have been running their amps for 4 years now and I can still say, ehh its an amp... I had JL XR's for 3 years as well. I switched them for Polk SR6500's. NIGHT AND DAY difference, hell lot more midbass, definition from the tweeter, better xovers and they are actually worth a chit. Their W6's are the only things I would buy from JL again.

Oh and do yall really believe its all built in Miramar still?

Looks fantastic. Alot of pain / sweat / blood has gone into this install with out a doubt.

The subs? Yeah they're built in Miramar. The amps never were and they never claimed that they were. Their speakers have been made in Europe since they first started selling speakers in the early 90s.

Let's see...JL has more patents on the technology behind used in their drivers than pretty much every other manufacturer out there combined. Most of the home audio and home theater mags use the Gotham system as their reference sub woofer. The car audio mags used the W7 as their reference sub. The JL demo vehicles were voted the best in SQ as SEMA year after year. I have a JL sub that works perfectly and is older than many people on this board including the rocket scientist who is acting like the typical know everything teenager. Not bad for so-so equipment, eh?

Can I get an amen!!! I couldn't have said it better myself!

get back on topic, WE DO NOT need a JL debate. they have an awesome line of products. get over it. done

the car looks great, nice build. the thing that bugs me, is do the mids and w7 share that enclosure space? I would have sealed them off from each other.

but enjoy it!

The mids are seperated with @ 8 layers of fiberglass. I was just trying to get the flow look, In the convertable vettes they have the middle piece called the waterfall and then wrap around the seates. Noted earlier that thier apaers to be a gap between the waterfall and consouel, it may just appear that way in the pictures but it reallt touches with a piece of fealt between.

Don't meant to take away from your gorgeous install, just douches like this clown piss me off some time. Coming into your thread and crapping all over it because you used JL?!? I mean if you'd done this beautiful work and used something like Audiobahn or Dual or something, then he might have a point.

Once again, beautiful work. Looks like it came that way from the factory, which IMO is the highest compliment I could pay it.
