burning up subs

cuz your sub is junk for one ,the amp is ok at best , but prolly gains set wrong and the crappy sub . sorry ,just sayin.that sub will take no where near 2300 watts rms .prolly more like 200-300 watts rms

And hes not bull...... you the sub ***** look into a matching sub like a kenwood kfc 12. I had 2 and they sounded petty good but the thing is they are still playing today and that was 7 years ago.

Every sub/amp has its limit and you are pushing it beyond the limit. Get a bigger better amp, better sub and make sure your power wire is the biggest the amp will fit, also clean connections for ground.

if i have a 300 wat rms amp and a 1500 wat rms sub how can i be burning the sub up i dont get it

what if i got a smaller amp i dont need to have a lot

did you have your gain and bass boost all the way up? if you did then THAT is your problem, someone has asked you and you haven't answered... i've had this problem before and found out the hard way, it was a lanzar amp, one of those cheap purple vibe ones, and two w3's, the amp was rated for 600 at 2 ohms and the subs were rated for 300-500 rms so i figured i'd be good, well i turned up the gain to MY listening preferences, again this was 3 or 4 years ago, well the gain all the way up didn't cut it for me so i cranked up the bass boost, guess what happened? blew BOTH subs that would take about 800 rms combined... so let me ask you, is your gain and bass boost cranked up??

You're more likely to blow a sub from under powering it than over powering it. How fast are you cooking these subs? Does your amp have an input sensitivity switch? If it does and it's not set properly then you'll fry the coils in as fast as minutes.
