I dont think 8 of them would be able to handle 4k watts. But 12 might..thats 3600rms from the subs.. I would guess that they could handle that little extra bit. Anyone know how many watts these will take daily? I might have to just get me some. I wouldnt think 500+ would be safe for daily?8- 12 12s should still turn some heads. off around 4k should be pretty nice. i want to do a build like this for my SUV when i get it.
ya 12 would be better, but i mean you can always set the gain a little conservative just to be safe.I dont think 8 of them would be able to handle 4k watts. it all depends on the install. They apparently do not know what they are talking aboutAnd who said these are "poopy" subs? Because of the price? Plenty of good budget subs out there, these being one. 12 12"s has a certain shock factor that 2 18"s could never bring.
Yep totally install dependent. But if it is done correctly it should smash 2 18"s. And if op decides to do it, he will not have to spend nearly as much in electrical upgrades as he would have to powering 2 high powered subs.it all depends on the install.
my 2 18's beat a guy with 16 12's. his setup sounded like garbaged.
I did. I went with the 2/0 for my big 3 and I might do 3/0 for my power and ground runs. Make sure it's flexible otherwise, you might have install issues. The brand I used was Flexaprene."Any Welding supply stores down there? You could buy your wire from them."
HAHA- I am a welder and get my companies discount-LOL
thanks for the idea- I dont know why I never thought of that...
I have a 20ft ground cable at work in my toolbox, its copper very fine braided wire- Dont know what gauge --Its thicker than my thumb!!
I guess I could Use it for upgrading the big 3 power/ground cables under my hood.
And try to find another to run to the back of my truck to the second battery.
Those **** 35$ hifonics now got me thinking about taking out my 3rd seat and building a F'ing colossal *** wall on each side with like 6 12's on each side.
I cant believe that a $35 sub can be suggested as being good, subs must have came along way in the 10 years ive been out of the sound game.
How would I power a shitload of these subs? would one or two big amps be better or several mid/small amps???
