Why are my coils reading differently?

Well when I check with a DMM one coil reads 1.1 and the other is at 2.3

I got D1 woofers

Butttt

When I put the DMM to where its attached at the tinsel and not in the terminal it reads right

Something about the terminal is causing it to read differently

Does that affect it ?

make sure the solder point isnt touching the basket
Would this be causing it?

There seems to be a connection between the center bolt and the right upper terminal

if any part of that metal that is soldered is touching the basket that could be ur problem ... hard to see in that pic.. the nut that holds the terminal on doesnt matter

is there somthing commin of that bolt to that right terminal?

I edited the image.

Its circled in green

heres what ive seen cause that, if at the terminal it read 2 and the leads it reads 1 there is a issue in the terminal, those terminals are not 1 piece, the spring loaded section has a post that comes up throught the basket , then a tab is soldered onto it. that tab is what the lead wire is soldered to, sometimes where the post and tab are soldered the connection goes bad and you get the exact same problem your describing, grab a solder gun and re-solder the post and tab, wait for it to cool all the way off to room temp and read it again, any heat in the termianls will cause a crazy reading on your dmm

The spring loaded piece that comes up into the basket seems to be connect to that center bolt. It looks like a VERY solid connection where the tinsel is soldered to the terminal. But ill retry that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
