building first comp style setup

i think i know all that i need to know to complete this build, but heres what i dont know... crossovers, and eq's.. how do you wire these in, how do you set them up, what can i do with them, what, what, what.... i need all the info i can get on these bad boys cuz im not biulding my system just for the db's... im shootin for some badass sound quality and clarity...

Lawl, wrong forum then. Try a different website. We are teh bassheads mostly. There are a few reputable SQ guys around, but they probably wont find this thread since it talks about competing. Competitions around here are synonymous with SPL

new question.. 2 8 inchers, 300rms 600 max a piece.. 2 channel amp, 370w rms @ 4 ohms.. max output 2200w.. will these blow???

you cannot say "comp" and " sound quality". those two things do not go together. a competition system does not have sound quality in mind. i think your looking for a daily system thats loud.
