Build Log: XXX Install and More...

What up man i haven't checked in for a while i see u got a lot done. I want to paint my interior black also, Im going to be moving from my apt to a house with a huge 2 car garage. Still in FH though around the corner from where u work (if your still there). How much that vinyl cost looks like pretty good stuff?
Sweet, yeah Im still working right at 10mile and Orchard Lake. Vinyl was $14 a yard I think, I got it off distinctivefabrics.com

Looks really good Mikey.
Also, sorry to hear about that accident. Hope all is well over there.
Dang man...I hope its not someone you know, none the less its still awful. O yea and hurry up and get this going haha j/k.
Thanks guys, turns out it isnt someone I know (thankfully) but nonetheless it sounds like a terrible accident. I guess both drivers were drunk and the guy on the snowmobile was traveling the opposite way as the van that hit him. Sounds like he may have turned on to the street and gotten hit or while he was turning off.

Im just really thankful it wasnt me to tell you the truth....I ride down there all the time and had been through there at least 3 or 4 times yesterday. The road has a lot of blind spots on it because it kind of dips up and down, plus the shoulder is really small.

Time to get my sled registered for the year and go up north...

Pulled these guys out for now

And tossed in the sub so I could get a chance to hear it and test it out.

Just went out for a spin so I could listen to it some more. To be honest, I am really pleased. The output is more than I expected and I cant believe how flat my response is. Im happy I went with a little smaller enclosure. The XXX seems to like the power as well, it hasnt struggled or sounded over worked yet....Im going to burn a cd and set the gain with my dmm real quick and then Ill shoot a vid or two.

There ya go...nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Doesnt it feel great just to know that you got some bass.

LOL! With my 1/4" floor under the box, the top edge of the box hits my trunk when it closes. But, it squeezes up tight on the deadener and just barely comes in contact with the metal.....I think it will help keep the flex down a lot, which is sweet! Hopefully the sub wont have any problems with clearance though. If it does Ill put a 1/4" shim along the back to bring it down a little.

Tomorrow hopefully I can do some more work. I need to cut some strips out of 3/4 to go along the side and the back of the box, to keep it in position. Then Ill run L-brackets along the back of the box to hold it down.

Also need to make a battery box. From there its just wrapping it in vinyl. Oh yeah, I gotta resin the inside of the box still too.

i wouldn't run the XXX inverted like in the vid. i don't know if you noticed or not but the XXX's kind of have a lot of mechanical noise. that's just me though.
Yeah Ive noticed....but its all the way at the back of the trunk lol. I couldnt hear it one bit from the drivers seat.
