ok so this is my first time attempting to build a sub enclosure. This is for my 1995 Jeep YJ Wrangler (stock elec.) With this Im using a 12" RE SX along with a Cadence TXA-1000D(1000@1ohm) amp. Seeing its my firs build something was meant to go wrong. For my 2nd mdf port plate i cannot screw it together with the 1st port plate. I worked outside to in when i should have worked inside to out.

My options are:

1.Rip out side plate and screw in port plate, reattach side plate

2.find device capable of attaching drill bit and fitting in 4 inch space(workaround)

3.dont do anything, glue it together and use some silicone

4.suggestions from you

The box is tuned close to 33hz and is 2.197c^3. anyway heres the pics so u can see what Im talking about.

Still not finished. check last 2 pics for my problem.

Screws are only used to hold the box together until the glue dries. Get a couple clamps and a piece of 2x2 and clamp it while you wait for it to dry. It'll be fine.

thats why you put the port together before you put the side on, no biggy though just do what he said ^^^

If you have already glued it in and let it sit, you should be fine. You get the best bond when there is something forcing the panel together but it should be fine if the glue dried nicely.

Screws only hold the panels tight while the glue dries; I don't use screws on my enclosures and they're strong as hell.
