Build Log- Infinity Kappa Perfect 10- 1.5@35hz *PICCSSS*

well heres the progress on the amp rack. it looks pretty ghetto right now, but when complete should look decent.

peices all cut for the column where the wires will run down. bottom angle of 15 degrees and top is 25 degrees.

all glued and nailed together

rack peices cut and put together

dry fit together

last pic for now

the bottom trim pieces on the rack are 1/2" by 3/4" and their purpose is to hide the wires which will be poking through and run along the bottom into the column and down beneath the carpet

thanks:)

its my first time ever doing an amp rack, so i hope it turns out the way i imagine it will...because it will be pretty sexy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

and hey, why not a pic or two

holes drilled for the power/ground, rcas, remote and speaker wire.

yea right now it looks pretty bad, but it should be nice when its done i hope:blackeye:

heres a little update...the pics will be pretty much the same as the last but ohwell.i sanded the whole thing up, filled in some holes with some wood filler and attched the peices. the first pic shows the fitment, and in the second pic you can see how i connected the column/rack to the base, and it is very sturdy

all that is left to do is disasemble, paint a few peices black, and then it should be done sometime today:D assuming i can get a hold of the car its going in to ensure it fits before i finish it with carpet/vinyl

btw im sure not many people actually care about this part of the build, but im bored so whatever lol:veryhapp:

its all wrapped in vinyl and carpet now

it looks great and he loves the design/ look however there is an issue with the trunk arms swining into it...so sadly it will have to be moved forward a few inches. but it will still look good IMO. i should have it completed tonight, except for the box because it will need carpet, which i dont have right now. all the wires will be cleaned up and it will be made sexy lol. let me know what you all think:)

i was thinking you where going to run them trough the center box of the amprack and then trough the bottom under the carpet.
that the plan, i just didnt have the time to do so today, but when its all done the only wire you will see is the inch or so where it connects to the amp

well...since i have been busy with diplomas the past few weeks i havent had time to finish this instal. but today we basically finished it up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the sub stoped workign so we had to go to futureshop..but its waranteed and we poped a new one in and it works great again. it was weird but whatever..

saddly, everywhere that sells carpet was closed so the box is yet to be carpeted.

heres a back shot. yes there is a tear in the vinyl(due to him driving like a crazy mother ****er lol), but it will probably be replaced when we carpet the box.

the box is drilled and screwed to the base peice, and there are two L brackets holding the whole thing to the car. we ran the wire up through the bottom and along the bottom of the amp rack and up into their terminals. there is not wire visible other then where it connects to the amp. we also had to cut the amp rack collum down an inch so it would clear the trunk arms. it wouldnt close otherwise.

i wish there wasnt sawdust all over the carpet hah oh well
