true..on smd.com it says on the big 3 tutorial that you need a fuse for it...so maybe just get an extra fuse?

my memphis 4 awg wiring kit came with a 200 amp inline fuse

I've never intentionally shorted out a 4 gauge wire with a 200 amp fuse to see what will happen, but according to the ampacity rating of the wire it will melt. I think you need a smaller fuse or larger wire.
