There is another strip of trim that is not in the pics yet that goes across the bottom to cover up the carpet there. There is also more work to be done on the amp rack on the back side of the enclosure.

Any reason why on these bigger cabinets people aren't using MDF they're using plywood?

It's birch ply sir, much stronger and lighter than MDF.
