I would use the tubes & just glue them in..

threded rod, or MDF.. mabe a second layer over the box..

i was gonna do threaded rod, but idk if i can put one in front of the port

That's why I make slot ports, and a double baffle.

The port itself lends in bracing, and then with a double baffle... not much other bracing is needed...
