Well I've been doing some work lately and I finally got my seats pretty much installed.

This was a pain in the A$$ to do since racing seats aren't really made for S10's

there's previous pics of what I had to do to make the floor level, which took a little time, now its making the seat brackets so they're bolted down. I did find "Racing seat brackets" for the s10 and I even ordered them..but when I tried to put them in it was one of the most idiotic designs because there was no way to bolt the seat to them and they were both different also.... sooo

I went to my local metal shop and got a 1 1/4 by 1/4 rails and cut them into 17'' bars to fit on the sliders...

after doing that I cut 2 1/2'' pieces that would be the risers and 1 1/2'' pieces for the "L" that would hold it to the ground.

then I welded them up to the rail (its crummy welding because I'm using a gas-less $120 welder. )

spot fit them.. .

I didn't bolt them down just yet because I still have to give them a good grinding and prime and paint them so they look good.

After this I need to bolt it, then install the racing harnesses and it should be good to go with the seat portion. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and when they're installed Ill be able to start working my center console design along with modifying some of the dash .

More to come ...

not yet, I was waiting to see how much room I have to work with since the seats are in now. It needs to have at least 1 din in it because I have 2 1/2 equalizers and I also want to throw in a monitor in the front of it somewhere. Cupholders would be nice too haha

what no box work yet?

not just yet, here I'll show you needs to be done in order for me to start box work

1. install security system to keep out thieves

2. bolt down seats so I know where exactly I can start making the wall

3. Finish off detailing and paint the bed cap

4. Walkthrough

5. Insulating and reinforcing the area.

6. modify/ beef up rear suspension

THEN box work lol, I already have 5 sheets of 3/4 MDF ready to go but until I get those things done I run the risk of screwing up the design. (except for the security system part, that's just to make me feel better)

The security system is my next thing I'm tackling, and for the longest time I didn't know how to install it but I went on the S10 forum and got some pretty good how-to's on how to do it so that should be my next update.

Gotcha, i bet theives are crazy up there
I might need to test you woofas for you, you know make sure they work
I actually live on an island in the middle of the Det. River sooo they usually don't come around me lol but I would just feel alot better to have that in before I install any equipment.

haha thats fine by me, its about a 4 hour drive though

I just removed my dash which took about 2 hours... one of the most annoying removals I've done so far.

Now time for some work on that, then paint. Also this gives me an opportunity to insulate some of the firewall also.

I have some pics up later. My truck's interior looks sooo sad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
