Build 02 Kicker L7 dual chamber 3.25 @ 34Hz

a dull blade producing more heat then a cut. will cause the burns as well.

but the box look decent. and burns dont cause any issues, that i know of. if you care to elaborate, that would be very instructional of you.

as far as the cuts yeah i would be a little more carefully of how clean the cuts come out. since thats a great part of the build.

but again other then that the enclosure looks very good.

Typically, burns will come if the panel is not held tightly up agains the rip fence. ie. Not a square cut. Because the blade is no longer cutting it with its teeth, its basically rubbing against it, producing a black mark. So the burn doesnt effect anything, but it could show that the panels are not square. Now THAT is a problem.

if that is indeed the case, yes that will be a problem if the unsquare cut is by a margin great enoght to actualy cause the panels to not seal by not lining up properly against each other.

but im seeing that as more a danger to his self, then to the enclosure, if by rubbing the actual piece like that while his cutting to the blade can get the piece of wood locked on blade and send it flying back to him. by angeling the panel to the point of rubbing against the blade instead of cutting.

but i see your point. i personally haven't had that issue. when ever i get a burn is because my blade is getting dull and its time to change it. a quick swap of blades takes care of that particular issues.

It's from wood getting pressed against the blade after the blade has cut it. If you're using a table saw, it can be caused by pushing on the wood towards the arm too hard to keep it flush.
This is pretty much what caused it in this case.

Actually 2 fold..

This was the first time I used the table saw in a long time and most of cutts I ended up straighting half way thru do to bad cutts for Home Depot.

The marks you see are from the surface area of the blade having contact with the wood for to long while I was making sure the wood was straight agaist the guide.

IMO it's good enough. I don't understand why people want to jump on the bandwagon and start hating on your work. I'm sure that the mistakes you've made were already obvious to you before you made the thread; it's not like you need to be told twice.

Immacomputer, it's fine. Pocket cut squares are FAR more difficult than circles. In this case, if the speaker fits, then it's fine. I honestly couldn't care less how the square looks as long as the sub fits. If it's a circle that's shoddy, then that's a different story.

And also, burn marks are usually caused by dull blades. Invest in a carbide tipped blade, and you shouldn't have to worry about it for a LOOONG time. I used to burn the wood everytime with my circular saw, but never once have burned it with my Bosch carbide blade on the table saw.

What are the measurements of the pieces I gotta Max and have tried to build a dual L7 box for the longest. Show some blueprints.
Sorry the forum got buried...

I can give you the dimentions i worked with or just design one to suite your needs.

Let me know.
