Anyone have any SketchUp expertise?

I am trying to use Google SketchUp (the free one) to try to design a box for my 12" IDMax in my tahoe. I was wondering if anyone knew of any plugins or of a way for sketchup to calculate the volume of the enclosure (I know I could do all the calculations myself, but there is a lot of angles and cuts, and I am lazy!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif )

I am trying to design something to fit here:

I am trying to hit QTC @ .707, so I am trying to come up with 1.85 ft^3 net and 1.97 ft^3 gross.

Here is my work so far (still working/learning with sketchup). The more I am working with the program the more I like it, but the less I like the box design. I am just trying to build a box that look to be part of the truck, but I may just have abandon that and just build a basic box. Anyway, here's what I am working on:

I put way too much in this thread, but if you have any input on SketchUp or better ideas for a box, I would appreciate it.

well you can start by making the first panel or rear panel if its a weird shape what ever.

then you can use the text tool on it which will tell you the in2 of that shape.

the you multiply that be the depth, which you make next . then divide it by 1728 and you get your cuft.

And sketchup is not used for designing boxes, it's an absolute unnecessary part of enclosure design. You need to know the volume before you draw it, the program cannot do that for you.
