Bridged vs 2 channel?

Bridged Into A 4-Ohm Load: 800 watts x 1

Per Channel Into A 2-Ohm Load: 400 watts x 2

Per Channel Into A 4-Ohm Load: 200 watts x 2

That's what my amp says. I have 2 12" subs. Does this mean I would get more power bridging the two subs in to one of the channels?

It depends on the coil configuration of your subs. What subs do you have? If you don't know what the coil configuration is, check the sub or list the exact model and we'll tell you how you can wire them.

If your subs are d4. Then you can either bridge at 4 ohms or run on each channel at 2 ohms each

It's a Rockford Fosgate Punch 801s. It's not manufactured anymore. I have 2 different sets of 12" subs. My Alpine Type-E's are single coil. The ones I have in the car are Pioneer's. I can't figure out what type they are without actually opening the box up which will be a pain. I can do it later if I must.

I also have 2 boxes. Not sure which one is better. I have a ported box; Q-Logic For Dual 12 Inch Woofers Double Driver Bandpass Enclosure - and a sealed box which is just a standard design I guess. The Q Logic one is stock out of a store and not designed for any particular setup.

I am VERY new to all this. I was able to set up the wiring without issue. Started off with a cheap Dual Sub and Amp. Just trying to learn a little more. I am assuming because the subs peak power is 800w that bridging them would offer more peak power over the 2-channel pushing out 200w x2 @ 4-ohm. I am also assuming you can't change the ohm's?

The guy who has them before me had this setup in his truck for two years. I figured it they lasted 2 years they were okay to go in my vehicle.

How does that work anyway? If they are 4-ohm subs, why would bridging them be 2-ohm?

Would I get the most power from a regular setup? Series? Parallel? Can my equipment handle the setups?
