Breaking in a Sub

I just got some Orion P series subs and was wondering if i needed to break these subs in. If so i was wanting to know if i should take it easy on the volume and turn the gains on the amps down or should i tune the amps so they are getting the recommended power and play them as i normally would. And if i do have to break them in how long does this process usually take.

There is alot of debate over the issue of breaking subs in, some say they need to be broken in slowly (ie dont crank them for a week or so) while some say it makes no difference. Its a expirimented fact that some T/S parameters do change over time of playing a sub, but I wouldnt say that warrants needing to break one in. If it were me, I'd just go a little easy on it for a few days, but its not a big deal, see what the manual says about it for warranty purposes.
