Not necessarily a bad design. Whether or not your'll get port noise is hard to tell until the install is done, there are a lot of factors. You can probably go skinnier than 1:9 and use a roundover to be safe. The main thing is the skinniness of the port, and the added surface area inside the port because of that, affecting air flow and tuning accuracy.so bad box design then?? cause i hate port noise lol
It's the height to width ratio. IE: the lower the second number, the more square the port is.but still im not sure what that 1:9 is meaning. haha sorry haven't majored in box designs yet lol
Just don't. 99% of the time there's no need to, and a way to fit a properly proportioned port.ok so if i was to go skinner what would you suggest?
Technically, the more square it is, the better. It's not about it being bigger, like more port area. It's about just not having it be too skinny.ok, so if anything make it larger?
