is it just me or does half of car audio design boxes?

Yeah, it makes me laugh. I have been here for 3.5years...and I stepped in at one point when JMAC could not meet the demand. Now, about 50people feel it's cool or they might as well too.

This proves shit. And i'mma prove it. I've built....3-4 boxes. Designed.....4-5 boxes, only 1 of which was to spec. U wouldn't have known that would u?

And i'd bet i could make a fing box to your spec. Doesn't take a Box Building degree or fing Boxing genes.

EDIT: Mind you i don't plan on selling box designs. Never have, never will. I just do it for fun. I'd do it for other ppl too, if only they could describe their shit correct.

Keep this shit up, WALMART will start selling box plans.

1loudsuv that guy never pm'd me or anything, as well as your right, all subs need different things, were not sayin for one sub, to do one output level in one car. were saying "build a 2.5 cube box at 35 hz, with 40 square inches of port" were saying a GENERIC BOX! it doesnt MATTER what sub goes in, cuz it will still stay 2.5 cubes at 35 hz, and 40 sq inches of port as long as sub displacement is the same. what do u not GET?!?!??!

I think what he was getting at is the fact that it is not hard at all to design a simple box with a know frequency and size.

Quite the contrary. Most people here just bootleg programs and hit optimum and then sell it as though it means something. How do I know this? I have a troll account and I've paid for a design (I shall NOT say who it was as they'll get burned one of these days). It actually does take something to make sure it's correct. I know for a fact that I and saywhat? have spec matched designs as we both use pen and paper instead of relying on a computer program to do it for you.

I have a troll account and I've paid for a design (I shall NOT say who it was as they'll get burned one of these days). It actually does take something to make sure it's correct. I know for a fact that I and saywhat? have spec matched designs as we both use pen and paper instead of relying on a computer program to do it for you.

ur right lemans, i do EVERY design on paper.....hell i have a notebook dedicated to them, so i can keep track incase someone comes back and they have lost their plan or something. i save all my designs as well. EVERYTHING I DO I GAURUNTEE TO BE CORRECT. everything has been done ON PAPER!

I'd rather rely on a program I made rather than try to write it all on paper. Thats so painfully time consuming.

Why write out the same stuff over and over when you can make an equation on the computer, plug in your variables, and get a solution?
