Boss subwoofer?

The one I am looking at right now is going to be for my Bedroom. I want crazy hard Bass in a cheap package. I bought a used 1250 watt Power Acoustic amp and am wanting to buy the BOSS CX154DVC

For only 58 dollars this may be the best sub for the money. I will give my full review on this product as soon as I get her installed. Its rated at 900watts RMS and 1800Watt max so we shall see.

Have any of you had any experience with a Boss subwoofer? I found this one new for 57 dollars and am mainly using it for gaming/movies so musical quality isn't as important to me.

I know it is over rated but at 57 dollars I cannot resist giving it a shot. I have a Power Akoustic Amp. The PS2-1250 with 1000 Watts of PC power supply running to it. Do you think 1000 watts is too much for the sub to handle? It says it is 1800W max and 900RMS. I know it is a lie but surely they wouldn't over rate it to that extreme.

Your PA amp won't put out that much anyways so you'll be okay.

That amp doesn't put out anything near 1000 watts. Maybe 400-500 rms

Ah...hrmm. Alright let me give you guys a budget. You all know way more about this than me. If I sell this amp for 50 bucks. I will have 175 to spend on this system. What should I go with and why?

Easy.

Amp- REFURB Cadence FXA1500 1000 Watt Mono Block Amplifier - eBay (item 290479152262 end time Sep-30-10 06:25:03 PDT)

Sub ( 15) - Sub Woofers - Incriminator Audio - 187 - SSA STORE

Why- Because they are both reputable, well known companies. That amp will put out rated and then some (clean power) and the 187's perform beautifully for the price.

Yeah I plan on getting a ported box. That Amp does look very nice and more professional than the PA. I'm going to look around and see if I can find that 15 for a cheaper price. It loos like a great system.

He want cheap. ID does not equal cheap. OP you will not find a decent 15 for anything cheaper than that. That is your best bang for buck 15 out there

he can look in to used , i have my id subs in my room and im very happy with them. i just wanted to throw out something .

OK I did some more searching and I came across a better BOSS sub for 2 more dollars. I'm sure it is over rated as well but for the amount of money it can't be that bad. There are two more Boss subs that intrigue me. I can't step away from the fact that they are only 60 bucks.

P156DVC 15

and the lesser model (it is a different line than the 156)

I do plan on getting a different AMP. A more powerful one that is actually good quality. Nobody has ever tried boss subs before and with my experience with DD I know how to tell a cheap sub from a good one. I will give my review as soon as she is hooked up.

BOSS SUBS Are crap. Trust us. They do not make a single thing worth buying. Spend the extra 50 to get a 187. You will regret buying that crap.
