Better sounding speakers

So is JL,Alpine,Polk still good speakers for mids n highs I want crystal clear sound or should I look into focal, hertz also why are so many people going with ds18 or nemesis

I have the MLK 1650.3 3 way set in my car and they are phenomenal. If you are interested I have the 1650.3 woofers up for sale as well as the crossovers to run the 700.3 and 280.3. I just switched to active, and I'm putting anarchy midbass in my doors. I believe there is a guy selling the 280 and 700 on DIYMA right now used for 600 total. Could have a sick semi-active front setup with these.

Can't send forum links on here, but yes, there is a gentleman selling both the 700.3 midrange and 280.3 tweeters as well as pods for both and they are listed as new drivers.

Speakers total 600 shipped, pods would be extra.
I would let my midbass go for 400 shipped and throw in the crossovers free if you decide to go the full 3 speaker set route.

Also found a PPI black ice 900/4 for sale for 125 shipped. Pretty solid amp for the price, goot output at 4 ohms as well, and has the crossover you need to run the midbass active /midrange-tweeter combo passive.
