I am thinking about getting a new amp to run two pairs of Hertz Centro 6.5" component speakers https://www.crutchfield.com/p_301CK165/Hertz-CK-165.html. I have narrowed it down to these two amps. There aren't any shops near me where I have the opportunity to listen to these amps in person. Have any of you listened to either of these amps? Concerning the RF amp, the marine version is on sale. The regular version is still $519. Both versions are linked below.

You won't be able to hear any difference between them. I wouldn't pick either personally. Do you need a small form factor amp?

The PPI phantom 900.4 was used in a very high scoring SQ build back in the day.

I agree with Mr. Homie. In today's cars, and with the speakers you chose, you wouldn't hear a difference unless they were side-by-side comparisons. They are both really good amps. Although they are both extremely overpriced, JL Audio and Rockford Fosgate are really good amps.

Consider one of these in that price range - in the color of your choice.

Class "D" 4 x 330 @ 4 ohms $299.

- OR -

Class A/B 134 x 4 @ 4 ohms

- OR -

This would be my overall choice of any of these. Clean, powerful at 150 x 4 and right now, $329.00!

An amp is an amp, never an equalizer or a dsp. Unless it's some sweatshop garbage, it should only sounds as good as the signal you're feeding it with.

The only differences that you can hear between different amplifiers the signal to noise ratio. A higher Sn will have less hiss. The only time you can actually hear this is if you play a song loudly and it has a quiet moment or at the end of the song.

Last summer, one of my friends had his Audison 4 channel go bad. He sent it in for warranty repair, but they said it could be 4 to 6 weeks before he got it back. So he went on Amazon and bought a cheap 4 channel Crunch amplifier as a temporary solution. At less than 3/4 volume, there was no difference in the sound quality. At all. At high volume, you could hear the difference simply because the Crunch was a less powerful amplifier. If he had bought a larger temp amplifier, you would not have heard any difference in sound.
