Best deals on HD TV's ?

Lol no, I meant the $1200 LG from your quote. It could be tuned to look better than a tuned Dynex. The Dynex is a decent budget tv but its not the best. I think you would be better off spending a little extra money for something better...but I'm not completely unhappy with my choice.

In Southern Florida we have a store called Brandmart which always has amazing prices.. You can get a 42" plasma lg with 2 year warranty for 700, and if your using cash it'd be negotiable. (Just saw in the paper for 600 my tv, which is 1080 and a 42" LG Plasma)

I would honestly steer clear of dynex. It is made by best buy, and is probably actually the worst tv you can buy. It is by far one of the cheapest. If this is just a tv that's going in a spare bedroom or something then yeah it would be fine for that price, but I would rather get something a little smaller like the 32" samsung and have good picture quality and a trustable name brand tv if I was going to watch it every day. I would seriously look at that tv from best buy I linked earlier. I'm sure your parents will be plenty happy with it, and it really is imo the best tv you are going to get for $500!

Great little tv for that price huh?

My friend bought that same tv... honestly if I were you I would do what he did and save up another $100 and take it back within the 30 day exchange period to get that samsung... the picture is much much much better!
BB isn't in the TV building business. It may be their store brand but they don't "make" it. It is from some buildhouse that I am sure many brands you use are from. For the price they are great basic sets for bedrooms, or other rooms where all the bells and whistles aren't needed.

I dont know if you are familiar with the shipping industry, but I gurantee you that those TV's dont stay on the end their supposed to. If it can get to a store from any shipper, than it should be able to make the trip home.
They do when you strap and wrap them correctly. Have sent hundreds sucessfully across the country. I do this every day man. I know the drill.

newegg has a poor dead pixel policy, any less than 8 and they do nothing for you
kind of rolling the dice
The 8 pixel policy is the manufaturer's policy, not NewEgg's. NewEgg does not do anything other than operate the website and CS dept. They use fullfillment warehouses to fill your order.

They are probably made in the same sh!tty Chinese factory that pumps out Westinghouse, Sanyo, Insignia, etc...

No they are not. They are a POS brand just like I mentioned above. Stick with a major brand like Samsung, Toshiba, Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic, etc...

yep and that same sh!tty factory is pumping out the high dollar brands as well. I bet if you actually had enough common sense to research before you post stupid shit you would see that most of the lower priced stuff is made by the same people that are making the higher priced stuff. the lower priced stuff is where the most money is made. more people are willing to spend $4-500 on a tv than are willing to spend $1000 or more.
