Best deals on HD TV's ?

no i used to work at best buy.... anything dynex is made by best buy
From wikipedia.... best buy owns dynex, so i guess maybe they don't make their own products?? Not sure but either way it's basically made/owned by best buy and is a shit brand
Owning Dynex does not mean producing Dynex.

They are entirely different things. Nissan owns Nissan products, and thus the Titan. That is not going to stop Chrysler from producing the Titan. I don't care what wikipedia says...they do not manufacture TVs.

Well, whats the biggest, best TV I can get for ~$600-700, no more at all. I want to get the 42" Dynex 1080p, the only thing I see is the very low contrast ratio of 2000:1, when others have 100,000:1
From what I understand about CR, is that it is like rated RMS. Every brand has a different standard. One should compare CR between lines, but not across brands.

do you not read??? I said that they might not produce their own products... i said i wasn't sure, just that best buy owned dynex, thus i assumed that dynex was made by best buy.

I do read, quite well, actually. I think you are admitting that BB does not make televisions, only liscenses the name to other manufacturers.

Said this a ton of times already, but I have had my Westinghouse going on 2 plus years with minimal problems. Not ever really problems, just an annoyance more than anything.

Cheap remote, resoultion lines when watching HD content from time to time, then have to switch to different vid source, then back and is fine. I also had to power it down from the surge protector twice because it had no picture, just sound.

But that has been in in 2 years.

Like I said more an annoyance than anything.

Picture quailty is very good on HD, (looks as good if not better than my Sony XB5 46" Bravia) but just meh on regular cable. Also the blacks are not anything to write home about.

I picked my Westinghouse up for 850 something and can be had for cheaper.......much cheaper after looking at this link. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I would pick it up for sure. Don't listen to Loopkiller. Seems he is stuck on nothing but the name brands, which is fine if you have the chedder, but nothing wrong with Westinghouse.
