Best deals on HD TV's ?

I'm buying my parents a HD TV for christmas, so far the best deal I found was $500 for a 720p 37" flatscreen lcd off newegg, but does support 1080i. From all the reviews I've been reading they say theres really no difference between 720+1080p, and being an offbrand it still is superb.

I'm looking to stay around $500ish which I know is not alot considering the type of purchase, but I'm poor and want to splurge for my parents //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

i spent like 850 on my 37'' lcd u can get liek 500 now.

its a vizio, they actually make really nice tvs for the price and people dont really ever have anything bad to say about em.

u should have gotten something on black friday.lol there was a sharp 46" 1080p lcs for like 800 bucks..that is so dam cheap for a nice *** tv.

but ya newegg will alot of good deals.

I could get better deals right from the distributers. But its not much, so I can make a couple hundred off it, but competition is tuff so we gotta sell it cheaper. We make more money on selling speakers and home audio video gear.

I have a dumb question, will the magnets of my subwoofers mess up the LCD tv? I know it will mess up a normal tube television but I'm not sure of a LCD. Thing is I drive a tiny car and to fit a 37+ tv in my car , I would probably have to put it ontop of my subwoofer box in the hatch.
