How many times in that 2 years have you driven your TV from place to place?Like I said, I've never had a problem in the 2 years I've owned it.
I would honestly steer clear of dynex. It is made by best buy, and is probably actually the worst tv you can buy. It is by far one of the cheapest. If this is just a tv that's going in a spare bedroom or something then yeah it would be fine for that price, but I would rather get something a little smaller like the 32" samsung and have good picture quality and a trustable name brand tv if I was going to watch it every day. I would seriously look at that tv from best buy I linked earlier. I'm sure your parents will be plenty happy with it, and it really is imo the best tv you are going to get for $500!http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8719078&st=8719078&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1201306784758
I'm thinking of getting this one... You can order online then pick up in store. Opinions on Dynex?
Great little tv for that price huh?I got the Samsung 32" at bestbuy for $499.
My friend bought that same tv... honestly if I were you I would do what he did and save up another $100 and take it back within the 30 day exchange period to get that samsung... the picture is much much much better!I bought a 32in Dynex over the weekend just to have something until my good tv comes in...it gets the job done. Picture is not great, not a lot of options but it has all the inputs I need for right now. I wouldn't want it for my main tv but for $400 I couldn't pass it up.
I dont know if you are familiar with the shipping industry, but I gurantee you that those TV's dont stay on the end their supposed to. If it can get to a store from any shipper, than it should be able to make the trip home. How many times in that 2 years have you driven your TV from place to place?
What I am telling you is that I have sold thousands of TVs in the past 5 years and everytime I have some dumb a$$ pull up to buy a 50in plasma and drove a Ford Explorer thinking it would fit, they say I will just lay it down and slide it in. They always break in transit. It just takes one railroad crossing or pothole and they will shatter. If you plan on buying a plasma, make sure you bring either a full sized SUV (Excursion, Expedition, Suburban, Tahoe, etc) or a van. Vans are usually the best to transport a plasma. You can slide it in the side door in between the 1st and 2nd rows of seats.
Why do you think they put that message on the box that says "THIS END UP!"
The TV is great and with QSPRs settings above, it became 10 times greater for me. My friend has a 42 inch LG TV, and honestly the Dynex PQ looks better and he said so too! lol...and he spent $1200 on his
the only reason they say this is during transit people lay their tv on its face (in the box) and the ride home, any big bumps or dips in the road can cause the excess weight on the LCD to break the screen.,That is only for Plasmas you tard.
LCD can be layed down with no problem at all.
I already ordered the Samsung LN46A650 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif. The Dynex will probably just be a bedroom tv/computer monitor. If anything, I would take it back and get a smaller samsung. I don't really spend much time in the bedroom unless me or my girl need to use the computer while the other is watching tv. So it really won't be used much.My friend bought that same tv... honestly if I were you I would do what he did and save up another $100 and take it back within the 30 day exchange period to get that samsung... the picture is much much much better!
