best budget battery?

Mine is going on 3 years and i know others who have won with older kinetiks and have gotten many many seasons from them in competition. Warranty wise the defects are so low that they dont even have to worry about the ones that are 3 years or older. How long has PM been in the battery business? If the batts were ALL bad in three years, you would not even know it yet.
I'm not asking about your personal battery, I was asking about the warranty Kinetik offers their customers... just for comparison's sake. Powermaster has provided quality rotating electrical products to the aftermarket for well over 15 years... batteries are not new to us //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I dont follow what you are saying about "if they were all bad in three years"... why wouldnt you know it?

I was talking about my battery and some other competitors batteries, not everyone who has won or done well in competition with kinetiks use brand new power cells. most all get a few seasons from them. From my experiences they dont crap out after just a year either. Kinetik has a very good reputation with taking care of warranties.

Alts and starters aren't batteries, just saying you work for Powermaster how long has the XS battery series been out?

Ahh, yes... but alts and starters would not exist if is werent for the battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif In order to build a successful company around dc electric performance parts it is essential to know every little detail about batteries and how they work. Some would say we were battery experts before we even started shipping batteries in the fall of 2005 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

and the 12 volt line?

and the 12 volt line?
and the 12v line what? What are you asking? Are you trying to imply that because we have only been marketing XS Power batteries for a few years that somehow we cant be the best? Would it matter that we were involved in battery sales and distribution (with major companies btw) long before any of these new companies were started? No it wouldnt... u wanna know why? Because the performance of our batteries speaks for themselves... all you have to do is test one... compare it to a Kinetik, or Optima, or Odyssey, or whoever... if then you think it matters that we have only been distributing to the mobile audio market for a few years then send it back. It's that simple... if you want proof before hand, look at who holds the Extreme Cup (yes, that would be us). You still want to argue SPL and who is "loudest"? OK...

Scott 180.2dB with 140 Kinetik 16v's

Alan 179.5dB with 15 XS Power 16v's - and he holds the Extreme Cup, and has yet to post a score for 2008 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Sooo... what will be your next stab? Getting kinda tired of playing this back and forth thing myself... how about we agree to disagree and find another thread to be helpful in, instead of beating each other up for nothing... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Scott didnt have 140 batteries, he stated he ran 126 for 32 amplifiers and from what I hear he didnt hook his Kinetiks up to a charger during the WHOLE finals season between IASCA, DB DRAG and USACI. From what i also gather he was doing 180's at usaci db drag legal on Wayne's meter testing since there wasnt a db drag event there...not bad considering they hadnt been charged for 3 months. Did Alan have to use a charger the last 3 months of the season?

with 126 batteries i would hope he would never even have to start the truck for 3 months.

(i've never seen his truck, so i don't know if it has to be driven into the lanes or what)

it is an extreme vehicle it doesnt even have seats ... has to be started to move it ..it is pretty heavy LOL

Except the Extreme Cup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Which goes to the overall loudest person in the world! Also, for the record... Alan did not compete in the other orgs, and he only uses 4 amps and 1 woofer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif And of course he charged his batts... it is the responsible thing to do to keep your equipment in proper working order. As a representative of the company, are you going to tell people that they can buy batteries and not have to charge them for 3 months?

So... now can we agree to disagree? Or is there anything else I can help you with? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just correcting what you said...the 140 batteries were really 126 and WHY he ran so many. it isnt like scott's 32 amps draw the same as alan's 4 do they? who is a representitive of what company?

Scotts pulls about 65A per battery... Alan pulls about 265A per battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

is this based on 126 batteries or 140?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

when scott originally put the batteries in he was running more than 50 amplifiers.... how many batteries was craig butler using on his ? iirc he was running 20-26 kinetik power cells on way more equipment than alan and doing mid 179's.......also it should be pretty obvious that scott didnt need 126 batteries he already had them and continued to use them so he didnt have to keep charging, which i havent heard him doing even when he was running 52 amplifiers.

Scott 180.2dB with 140 Kinetik 16v's

Alan 179.5dB with 15 XS Power 16v's
it's also a bad comparision considering the smaller vehicle needs less than half the current......i dont think scott would get too good of a burp out of 15 xs power 16v's also he would probably need to charge at the show wouldnt he?
