best budget battery?

why not go oddyessy?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
isn't oddesey made by the same company as stinger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

It's an A/B test... how does this battery compare to that battery... the evidence is pretty ****ing CLEAR if you ask me...
did i get it right?

****ing? At retail pricing stinger actually costs more. If you look at the AH charts the Kinetiks are all on a higher load so if you compared the Kinetik 1800 vs the spv70 (the Kinetik 1800 under a 4.05 amp load and the SPV70 under a 3.5 amp load). If they were at the same normal power load the 1800 would still be turning out the power longer for less money,so it looks to me like unless you are buying a graph and not POWER you are getting a lot more power and for less money with the 1800 by the Stinger test. the 2400 was under almost 2 times the amp load as the spv70 and it still costs less...Hmmmm. I wonder why they chose not to publish the 2000 discharge test???? Funny the SPV35 is not available for viewing.

when looking at the graph look at everything

I have used an sp1000 (not an spv) under the hood and lasted a grand total of 14-17 months ("deal" price locally was higher than i can buy a kinetik 1400 for locally) . The majority of that time the Sidekick it was in didnt even have an audio system. The Kinetik i have under the hood now is in a crappier vehicle on an equally powered system for almost 3 years (system is older than the battery) and i use it key off for charging other batteries on weekend afternoons 6-9 hours at a time + listen to music when I am not wrenching.

well, they make it pretty clear to me that the stingers have a better 5 second rate than the kinetiks... but the kinetiks can provide a much better long term ah.

I guess if you like to play your stereo with your car off for hours or your alt is completely under sized but you have a huge bank of bats then kinetik would be the way to go..

Why are we looking at charts that compare cranking amps? Are we trying to start cars or run amplifiers that require intermittent power? An amp that does 600-1000 watts is not pulling 300 or 2000 amps of current. It may need 50-80 amps max real world. They need to do a proper test for the application these are being used for 50 amps over and over several times a second for years not one burst one time. At this point, the total power, price and durability are HUGE factors. Kinetik has a return rate of less than a percent IN the car audio industry for a reason.

Try to do some of the power bursts claimed by Stinger a few times on their batteries and see what eventually happens. Kinetik recommends a battery for the conditions used (wattage). Kinetik was the first company I had seen put battery sizes to those conditions/recomendations. I see now it is imitated by a few other companies who change "spec" on it quite often. Kinetiks are known for strong recovery after many times under this use.

On a daily system you wouldnt try running 15-20k watts of power (1500-2000amps) on any 1 battery i know of in production for car audio . Using as in near full capability in a daily system. This would be an impropper electrical system. Batteries are not designed to be "maxxed out" after every use. It would greatly shorten the batteries life span as well as the amplifiers.

Kinetik can cover ANY peak demand required for any amp that should ever be hooked to it. There is a reason why they have a good reputation. All the major car audio manufacturers would not be recommending Kinetik if they were junk. Oh, that’s right…and the loudest vehicle in the world also uses Kinetik.

oddesey is made in the same factory as the stinger batteries, they are the exact same product with a differnt sticker on top, 1500 stinger (350 retail ) and the 1500 oddesey ( 200 retail ) are the exact same. just go buy the stinger sticker and save 150 dollars...

I would keep going on... but man its not worth it. Your clearly in love with your kinetiks...

I do have one question though. Why aren't 2400's popular at all in street classes for db drag?
